Facebook to give verified pages
After twitter facebook has also disclosed a new feature to protect the account of celebs and high class profiles and brand business houses by launching “Verified Pages”. The popular dignitaries, profound corporates pages will be authenticated by Facebook at its social platform.
Facebook has previously launched a verification program, back in February 2012, when it allowed people to verify their account with a valid ID. This was an extra step that allowed people to then use nicknames (handy for celebrities with pseudonyms) and still appear highly in search results. But that program didn’t involve any kind of public badging, which this one does.
The authenticated “Verified pages” will display small blue circles with a white check mark in the middle as shown to imply that identities have been validated. Any small group of remarkable populace (journalists, government officials, celebrities, pfamous brands and business associates) with a considerable, eminent, influential followers i.e. audience will be covered under “Verified Pages”. A blue badge will be attached along with their name. The mark will appear not only in page or profile but also while you search for them.
This feature will not be restricted to “pages” only but will be acting on famous “profile” too. Facebook has also enhanced a new section to its help center which elaborates about a verified profile or verified page but it doesn’t tell the procedure about how Facebook does the confirmation of that particular celebrity or bisuiness house. The checkmark icon acts as a means of suggestion which will proffer improved information and knowledge about validation when you will palce the mouse cursor to it. However, as per Facebook reports there is no way for common floks to request to get verified.
Although the step will extend the levels of authenticity. This feature is quite simple and veracious trait. A verification badge ensures that the particular page is actually and truly operated by them only. This in turn which render help to the mass who are not aware about the fake accounts and may get trapped in their circle. But all the high profiles and well known pages are not authenticated till date. So you have to wait for some more time to get linked to your true, verified, authorised celeb account or favourite brand page.
